Materials
We provide all necessary materials for the class but you may want to bring with you:
- Textile fabric markers or fabric pens (these do not need to be 'professional'; the kid's version will work!)
- Embroidery kit (scissors, needle, thread)
- Any found or recycled materials such as plastic, different types of fabrics, or bead
- Inspirational images for your works subject, as well as images of other textiles artist work
- If you have a sketchbook or portfolio of previous research or materials tests and experiments, please bring this along as well
Tutor
Dominique L'Olive
Dominique graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA hons degree in Fashion and initially worked for TIMNEY FOWLER where she created textile print designs for the UK and JAPANESE fashion markets. She established her own company in 1999 developing and designing primarily for the US apparel market but also collaborating on special design projects with Nigel Coates [ architect]  JIGSAW merchandising team and MARKS & SPENCERS. From 2002 -2007 Dominique was an associate lecturer at LCF on an elective programme teaching students from a diverse range of design disciplines Textile Print. She currently teaches for UAL Short Courses   online textile design courses.
