Information about our in-person graduation ceremonies

2025 Graduation Ceremonies

Please find below the dates of the 2025 graduation ceremonies:

Tuesday 15 July – Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon College of Arts, Creative Computing Institute and Teaching and Learning Exchange

  • 10am – Wimbledon College of Arts, Creative Computing Institute, and Teaching and Learning Exchange
  • 1.15pm – Camberwell College of Arts
  • 4pm – Chelsea College of Arts

Wednesday 16 July – London College of Fashion

  • 10am – London College of Fashion – School of Design and Technology
  • 1.15pm – London College of Fashion – School of Media and Communications
  • 4pm – London College of Fashion – Fashion Business School

Thursday 17 July – Central Saint Martins and London Contemporary Dance School

  • 10am – Central Saint Martins – C School and London Contemporary Dance School
  • 1.15pm – Central Saint Martins – S School
  • 4pm – Central Saint Martins – M School

Friday 18 July – London College of Communication

  • 10am – London College of Communication – Design School
  • 1.15pm – London College of Communication – Screen School
  • 4pm – London College of Communication – Media School

Registration

How do I register for graduation?

Graduates must register their attendance through the myGraduation tab on the student portal.

I don’t see the myGraduation tab. What should I do?

If the myGraduation tab is not visible, please submit a query using the available on the 91ÊÓÆµ website.

When does registration open?

Registration opens on the 3 April. We will be emailing students their official invitation emails over four days:

  • Thursday 3 April: Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts, Creative Computing Institute, and Teaching and Learning Exchange
  • Friday 4 April: London College of Fashion
  • Monday 7 April: Central Saint Martins
  • Tuesday 8 April: London College of Communication

When does guest registration open?

Guest ticketing opens on 14 April.

When does registration close?

Registration closes on 22 May.

About the ceremonies

Where is the graduation ceremony?

The ceremony will take place at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX.

What are the nearest transport links?

The nearest transport links are Waterloo train and tube station.

Is there parking available?

No, there is no parking at the venue.

What should I wear?

The ceremony is a formal event. While we recommend formal wear, it is up to you to decide what to wear.

How long do the ceremonies last?

The ceremonies typically last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of graduates.

Are the ceremonies streamed online?

Yes, the ceremonies will be streamed live on the UAL social media channels.

Guests

How much do guest tickets cost?

Guest tickets: £28 each (not including Royal Festival Hall booking fee).

Private box (seats 4 guests): £200 (not including Royal Festival Hall booking fee).

How many guest tickets can I buy?

You can book up to 2 guest tickets or 1 private box that seats 4 people.

Can I book more guest tickets?

Additional guest tickets may be available once registration closes. These will be on a first-come, first-served basis and will not sit with your original group.

Do children need a guest ticket?

Children over 3 years old require a guest ticket. Children under 3 years old can sit on a guest’s lap and will not need a ticket.

Can a relative or friend attend without a guest ticket?

Yes, the building is public, but they will not be able to enter the auditorium without a guest ticket.

Robes and photography

Where do I hire my academic robe?

Graduates should hire their academic robes from our preferred supplier,

Can I use a different supplier for my academic robe?

Yes, you are free to use another supplier if preferred, as we cannot restrict your choice.

I am eligible for financial help with my robe (Hardship Fund/Bursary).

Students eligible for financial assistance will be contacted once registration has closed with a single-use discount code for the robe. Students still need to register their own attendance.

Where can I book photography?

will provide professional photography at the graduation ceremony, and you can book directly with them.

Staff Robing

Staff who have attended a graduation ceremony previously:

If you have attended a ceremony before and ordered a gown in the past, please follow the steps below to order your gown:

· Order your gown directly through Ede and Ravenscroft on the extranet https://www.enet.uk.net/

· Log in using your UAL email address and the password: UALGrad2025.

· Once logged in, check your details and select the ceremony you will be attending.

· Gowns will be available for collection on the day of the ceremony from the Sunley Pavilion at the Royal Festival Hall.

If you need to make changes to your attendance or any of your details, you can do so before the gown hire deadline on Friday, 27th June 2025. Please be aware that gowns that are ordered but not collected may incur a charge to UAL.

On the Day of the Ceremony:

· Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the ceremony begins to collect your gown from the Sunley Pavilion.

· You will then need to proceed to Level 4 Green Bar to line up 15 minutes before the ceremony starts.

Staff who have not attended a graduation ceremony previously:

If this is your first time attending a graduation ceremony, please email the following details to Tom Osborne (t.osborne@arts.ac.uk) and Jasmin Halai (j.halai@arts.ac.uk) so we can set you up on the Ede and Ravenscroft website:

· Your full name

· Your department

· The ceremony you will be attending

Once your account has been created, we will notify you. Afterward, you will be able to follow the steps outlined above to complete your gown order.

The deadline for ordering your gown is Friday 27 June 2025.
