Course description
Course overview
This course offers a week of hands-on learning, where you'll explore and experiment with materials to discover new ways of expressing your ideas.
You'll gain inspiration by studying the work of modern and contemporary artists and exploring how scale, size and format impact artistic expression. In the second half of the week, you will develop a personal fine art project and share your work with the group in the final session.

Materials
- Pencils
- Pens and markers (biros, fine liners, highlighters, etc)
- Coloured pencils, markers, crayons
- Eraser
- Pencil sharpener
- Charcoal
- A4 cartridge paper x 50 sheets (or sketchbook)
- A3 cartridge paper x 10 sheets (or sketchbook)
- Coloured paper
- A4 Cutting mat or thick card for cutting with a knife
- Masking tape
- Glue stick / glue
- Scissors / craft knife
- Magazines / newspapers to cut up (or print outs from the internet)
- Set of brushes acrylic paint in primary colours: Red, Blue, Yellow and White
- Watercolours or other water-soluble paint or pencils
- Paper for painting
- Rags, tissues, pots for water etc.
- Paper, card, string, wire, recycling bin contents etc.
- Stapler

Tommy Ramsay
Tommy Ramsay is an artist based in London. His practice includes painting, screen printing, casting and collage. He has studied at UAL Chelsea and the Royal College of Art.
